Review:

Esher ’s first visit to Camberley after promotion.  They are finding League One a bit difficult.

Ady Kyle ’s comments: An excellent result today from the lads, beating Esher 32-5 in some appalling conditions, however, they all played with guts and determination and most importantly passion to win the game.  The whole 22 had an excellent 60 minutes of rugby, but a particular mention must go to Max Brown, who played his first fixture since joining the squad scoring 2 try's

My comments:  I agree it was an excellent result.  The major positive was again our defence and forward play, especially the back-row.  The game started very much like the England – Ireland game.  We gave them an interception after 5 minutes and they were 5-0 up.  Their inside centre was useful.

Behind a solid pack our halfbacks also played well with Will J continuing his brilliant snipping.  He went over for our first try in typical fashion.  5-5.  The back-row then came into its own with our Number 8 Max driving over twice in 5 minutes.  We entered half-time 17 – 5 up.

We then spent the first 20 minutes of the second half practising our kicking – Steve and Michael – and cover tackling  before the back row struck again through Andrew.  The backs finally get on to the score sheet with a good interception and score by Michael.

Our final score was a superb piece of teamwork.  Again the back row - Christopher - broke from the base of the scrum and was off to the line.  He nearly made it but was well stopped about two meters from it.  But there on his right shoulder was Archie who took a superb pop pass and scored.
